Meet the Founder: Rooted in the Tweed
A Local with a Vision for Giving
Hi, I'm Kevin, the founder of Tweed Giving. My connection to this incredible area runs deep. Originally from Berwick-upon-Tweed, I spent most of my life there, building a strong appreciation for the unique spirit of our communities. Today, I am proud to live and work in the beautiful Scottish Borders, and I genuinely feel lucky to be a part of the vibrant culture that defines the entire Tweed Valley and North Northumberland region.
My passion for this area isn't just about the stunning scenery; it's about the people and the local businesses that make it thrive. Before starting Tweed Giving, I had the pleasure of running a couple of local businesses in Berwick, including Geek Box and Escape Berwick. Thanks to the help and support of the community they thrived. Those experiences reinforced my belief in the power of community and sparked the idea for a platform that could channel the excitement of competition into tangible support for the local clubs, charities, and projects we all rely on. Tweed Giving is my way of giving back to the place I love, and I’m thrilled to have you join us on this journey.
Our 40% Pledge: Help Us Build the Pot & Share the Love
Our commitment to you and our area is rock-solid: We pledge 40% of all profits from every single competition directly into the Tweed Giving community pot. We are currently in our launch phase, actively raising the initial funds that will allow us to make our very first impactful local donation.
